Supermarket Loyalty

A couple weeks back we discussed the benefits of having a loyalty program and how it can help you keep the customers you already have. Today I will go a bit more into depth on the benefits of loyalty programs at a grocery store.

-Increase customer retention: Customers will feel rewarded for visiting your grocery store instead of going else where. This satisfaction will help increase the retention of your customers, and as many of you have heard – it is cheaper to keep old customers than having to search for new customers.

-Track their purchases: Plastic loyalty cards can come with a magnetic stripe or barcode for easy tracking of information. Every time your customer hands their loyalty card you can scan or swipe it and track what products they purchase, at what time, and how often. This can be easily done with a gift and loyalty card software.

-Special discounts and personalized offers: With a loyalty program you can offer discounts and sales for your loyal customers that will increase the likelihood of other customers wanting to sign up for your loyalty program. Also with the information that you collect you can offer personalized coupons for products that the customer frequently purchases or a complimentary product such as when they buy cereal offer them a coupon for milk.

These are things that large grocery stores do – such as Albertsons and Winn Dixie. They offer you special sales if you are part of their loyalty program and hand out coupons for products that your may enjoy so you can give them a try. So why shouldn’t you do this? Increase your sales and the loyalty of your customers today! Call us now at 305-260-6741 for more information on the benefits of plastic loyalty cards.
